About Mootmap

Mootmap is a free website with tools that turn the public activity of an X (Twitter) account into pictures. It is an independent project made and run by Filippo Pelloia, opened in October 2026. It is not affiliated with X Corp.

This page says who is behind the site, what it is for, how it is paid for and how the things written on it are checked.

What Mootmap is

Mootmap makes small tools for people who use X. Each one starts from a public username, asks for no login and leaves you with a picture to keep or to post. The first is the X circle generator: a map of the people an account talks with most, the closest ones nearest the middle. More are planned.

Who makes it

Mootmap is made and run by Filippo Pelloia. He answers for the tools, for what the articles say and for the mail: write to support@mootmap.com and it reaches him.

How it is paid for

The tools are free and stay free, with no login. The site is paid for by advertising, in marked spaces below the tool and in the articles. An ad never stands between you and the tool, and no article is paid for by a product it talks about. Who serves the ads, and how to refuse their cookies, is in the cookie policy.

How numbers and facts are checked

  • The score on the tool's page comes from the code. The weights and limits shown there (what a reply is worth, how fast it fades, how many people fit) are read from the same code that draws the picture, so the page cannot say one thing while the tool does another.
  • Examples are invented. The example picture uses made-up accounts and faces cropped from public-domain paintings, never real profiles.
  • Other tools are described from their own pages. When an article compares generators, each statement about another tool was checked on that tool's page, or by running it, on the date the article gives.
  • Dates are real. Every article shows when it was published and, if its content changed, when.
  • Mistakes get fixed. If something here is wrong or out of date, write to support@mootmap.com.

What happens to data

Posts are read from public sources by your own browser, and the ranking and the picture are computed there. Nothing about an account is stored unless you ask for a share link, which is deleted after 30 days. The details are in the privacy policy.

Not part of X

Mootmap is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp. "X" and "Twitter" are named only to say which platform the tools work on.

It is free and needs no login. Make your X circle and see who is closest to you.
